all teachers are the best :)
You’re very welcome. Thanks for checking out my videos.
Mr.Alex, is that a correct writing ? ” exagerrate” ?
or ” exaggerate ” ? you had written on the board like 1st example of mine.
Thank you
I checked it out in the wordreference dictionary as it looked strange for me too.
According to WR, it is exaggerate.
We all make mistakes ;)
My mistake! Double consonants are annoying. Yes, the correct spelling is exaggerate.
Thank you for the great tips!
it’s very useful for a language learner to read two stories per week.
Could you introduce me books for intermediate level? I’m from Iran
Thank you

I admit that since I began reading the Bible my English improved a lot! and that’s my favorite book and I am always reading it in English!
Thank you
Just a short comment to say that I think that reading a book or any other kind of writing is good for improving your vocabulary and grammar skills. However, if you are not with a native English speaker, who corrects you when you don´t do it right, you can´t know if you´re pronouncing properly or not. That´s the only negative point I see in reading by yourself out loud. Just my point of view.
Thanks Alex!!!
Thanks Alex. You always gives good advice. Bye!
thank Alex
Great job, Alex! Thank you so much.
The Portrait of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde, is one of my favorite books, teacher Alex, as many of Stephen King´s novels and Edgar Allan Poe´s poems. Even though I´ve always been drawn to sad, horror or dark stories, I can read different genres as well. Hey, you ought to take a look at some of Álvares de Azevedo´s poems. He´s a Brazilian poet WHOM I´ve read since I was a boy. By the way, could you name me some Canadian writers? I´ve always been curious about the Canadian literature. Thanks a bunch.
Hi Alex! Thanks for this lesson. I like to read but my problem is that I’m often not sure how to pronounce because of that, many times I get used to pronounce wrong some words. What do you think about audiobooks, I means, listen to the mp3 while reading the actual text?
Hi Sir,I’m from India. Your class is really helpful for those who are 2nd language speakers. It helps me a lot.
Thanks!

Thanks Alex for this lesson. I used to read news on line, but I stopped doing it. I have to develop the habit again. Reading really helps to improve our English skills.
Ever and ever reading books will improve our vocabulary but I would prefer the audiobooks at this moment of learning period, they are less boring that without sounds, of course, you can follow the enunciation, the pronunciation and the fluency on them, my last book with a difficult reading was: “He Knows Too Much” (Alan Maley) by Cambridge University Press, Advanced Level and a lot of new words and expressions so we must lose our fear to afford the next phase of learning. Thanks a lot, teacher Alex, it has been a very useful lesson, we should exaggerate our skills to sear into memory new topics.
Thanks a lot! Mr. Alex. Your lesson is very useful but sometimes reading english books with the challenges and difficulties because so many cultures include.
All in all, Book as window of the world.
exaggerate… On the board we can see “exagerrate”.
Whoops…?
Thanks
i want to know more from you
Totally agree with you. I used to read for the purpose of learning English and as well as enjoying it. Lstely I’ve been reading Don quixote de la mancha… <3 what a great book… But also an awesome way for improving many skills of your English, as of any other languages also. And I always liked myself reading aloud, even murmuring when I could not do so.
Well its great ,but a had a question about that many time ago. So what will happen if book is not in original and its more easier, will i learn new English vocabulary correctly for example book= Jane Eyre. its simple now, but not so hard. What i must to do .I want to learn more and more with Origial and correctly written book. i think Engvid s advanced lesson will totally help me. Am i right in my annoying opinion?

Hi Alex,
I always read a newspaper, comic magazine and books. I usually like to read loud as well. The other way that I have done is talking by myself out and loud, because I don’t have many friends to practice conversation.
Anyway, many thanks.

Hi, Alex. As always, thank you for helpful lesson.
I like reading, but I’m not a good reader.
One of my favorite authors is Haruki Murakami. I’ve read his books almost all of them. So one day, I want to read his books in English and want to compare how different they are between Japanese edition and English edition. But the problem is books written in English are more expensive than Japanese ones here in Japan. I wish I could get them cheaper…
This is very help full for me.

Hi Mr. Alex. I appreciate it. So I have a doubt: How may times I have to read the same book when I am not getting to understand the text?
A very helpful lesson, Mr. Alex. Once again, you are one of the best teachers on EngVid.Com; your pronunciation is very clear. I have a question for you… Which is correct “…on EngVid.Com” or “…in EngVid.Com”? It isn’t very clear to me when and how to use the words ON and IN. Could you explain me that, please?
You’re best teacher. Thanks so much.
A good lesson, no quiz, and it encourages students to pick a book to read. I am going to try read it out loud myself to see how it works; especially, focus on words ending with -ed and -s. Thank you, Alex.
Alex, as an ESL teacher myself, I greatly value what you and the other engvid instructors do for students. BUT, on your whiteboard, you have to correct EXAGGERATE, please!!
thanks in advance.
Mr. Alex, thank you, but please clarify the order of the videos so that I can follow them gradually
