The BEST books to read with your kids (ages 0–7)

Looking for some great English books to read with your child? In this video I share 19 books that I recommend. Reading in English can be a bonding experience with your child: one that encourages imagination, curiosity, and a love of books. I’ve chosen a mix of classic and modern books. These are books that will be fun for the child AND the parent! If you are an English learner, this can also be a great way for you to practice your own reading skills. I’ve broken up my list by age groups: 0–2, 2–4, and 5–7. I’ve also included some questions you can ask your children to help get them thinking. I hope that this video will help make reading with your young child a habitual, fun, and educational experience. I came here to see if there’s a quiz. Helpful lesson to learn good books for little kids and I always feel watching engVid videos is a great listening practice for ESL students. Native speakers learn English from their parents at the very early age so they learn the language naturally and so their basic is solid.

Hi Benjamin. Nice idea to recommend children´s literature and nursery rhymes. This time I had to turn subtitles on and it means that I need to practice listening more often. By the way, I´m glad to hear that also fathers care about mental growth of their children through reading and that they read together with them. Thanks a lot.
