Do you pronounce the TS
sound in English correctly? Many English learners have difficulty saying pizza
. This is understandable because in many other languages, the TS sound does not exist. In this lesson, I will help you improve your pronunciation of the TS sound. We will look at the shape of the mouth needed to produce this sound. I will go over some words and expressions that can be challenging to pronounce, including that’s okay
, it’s all right
, cats
, shirts
, flats
, and more. We will look at these together, and you will get a chance to practice your pronunciation to get it just right. After watching, I encourage you to record yourself saying all the words in the video so that you can hear and correct yourself if needed. Consider this homework as your quiz!

Thank you Mr Adam for this lesson
It’s very interesting how real words are pronounced in authentic speech. Thank you for your lesson.
By the way, “tsowkay” in Russian means: say the ‘ts’-sound instead of the ‘ch’-sound, for example.
Very understood, already made changes on how to pronounce TS sounds.
Thanks everyone :)

Hello Sir, could please explain when the S plural pronounce as z sound.
Thank you, Adam.
My surname is Tsey… and first Ts sound in Russian as Z in the word PIZZA.
And I thought TS always sound as Z in beginning of a word.
Thank you for your explanation!
