Today, we will look at how to tell a good story, whether it be a suspense story or any other kind. This lesson will also be useful to you if you are preparing to describe a book or film for the IELTS speaking test. Telling a story is an art, and phrasing your ideas in a certain way can make or break your attempt at describing a scene. So what makes a good story? Creating tension and suspense to intrigue your audience. In this lesson, I will teach you vocabulary and phrases that will help you convey images, such as cold sweat, from the shadows, out of the corner of the eye, unexpectedly, suddenly, and more. We will also talk about a story’s genre, the main character, the plot, and how to give your opinion on it. Good luck on the IELTS!
What a scary atmosphere in this class ha ha! but I like it. Thanks for the lesson, Benjamin!

well, I tried to speak a TV show instead of a book, because I rarely read a book after I graduated from college. By the way I talked about the Game of Thrones the final season episode 3. Kind of disappointed about the last season, but the show is indeed a good show. I recommend you guys to watch it.

In the middle of the night, and while she was fast asleep, she heard someone talking to her through the window and gazing at her. She dreadfully jumped out of the bed and started trembling. Out of the corner of her eyes, she realized it was still there but did not actually realize who they were. Completely sunk in her fear, she fell on the floor barely able to catch her breath.

In the middle of the night somebody knocked at the door. Without hesitation Joe sprang out of bed to open the door. He crept nervously outside and cautiously looked from right to left. Unease and dread caused cold sweat on his forehead. All of a sudden his entire body trumbled and shuddered. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a dark shape in the street outside. Frightened he held his breath. From the shadow came unexpectedly his cat Dora. All the panic and distress disappeared und he burst out laughing.

The book I recently enjoyed was Rich dad and poor dad. The genre of the book was personal finance or financial literacy. It changed my life all as a sudden, Because the book frequently emphasize on one thing that is “buy assets not liabilities”…..
