I have heard and followed this lesson with attention and I would care for another one, because I wouldn’t like to leave so soon this comment about the grateful scoops inside it, I don’t mind to waste time studying how to think, speak, and write in English but the matter would be being more efficient than whoever it wasn’t learning so, which means that I have met what I was searching without being the catch of these expressions. It has been a philosophical essay with all of the sentences, but I don’t know if it will have sense, I hope so. Thanks, teacher Rebecca, it has been a long lesson with short questions, easy to remember, and as always very useful.

“What’s the scoop?” is used in more neutral or positive situations.

When we have large numbers or a specific number, we don’t put an S at the end of hundred / thousand and million
but keep in mind when we talk about an approximate figure

“What’s the catch?” means what’s the difficult condition behind something that seems so wonderful.

Let’s say someone told you they would give you a million dollars, but you find it hard to believe. So you ask, “What’s the catch?” and they say you have to swim across the Atlantic Ocean in one day. So that condition, swimming across the Atlantic, is the catch – the difficult problem, the hidden drawback, behind what seems like a lovely offer.
