If you call, then you can put busy before call.

No, there’s no a mistake. Your answer is wrong because you have to set your Skype status to “available” BEFORE you start the interview. If you set your status to “busy” BEFORE the interview, the interviewer might think you’re not available to talk to him/her.

The first advise was to check the timezone of the interviewer. It means that yo are calling him.And to protect youself from unnecessary calls you set up the “Busy” status. Correct me if I’m wrong =)

You have to check the timezone, because you need to make sure that you’re going to the interview on time; you’re going to be there at the right time of your appointment, because it’s important to get a good impression by being on time. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re calling the interviewer. She says you can ignore the people who are calling you during the interview. Another thing you can do is to set up to “busy” as soon as you start the interview, not before.:-)

Hi Jade, well I scored 8/10, two wrong answers. Firstly, on the 2nd question, because I hadn´t put a great deal of attention, to the word “shouldn´t” and I answered “use an ethernet cable….”. Secondly, on the 4th question, my answer was “… Because Skype interview and real life interview are the same”. The truth is, you don´t “shake hands” but you will say “hello”, and for me that have the same meaning, I guess.

Hey Jane, I just signed up on this site. And I just had a look at all the different teachers. In my opinion you have by far the most proper and nicest English accent of all of them. I really appreciate it. I also like Benjamins English, but you tend to have some special way of forming bi-vowels.. What kind of accent is that? It’s close to standard English, isn’t it? I am planning a language stay in the UK, where can I go to get this accent?

I’ve got a question on the expression “dramatically improve”.. Is it a common & a neutral expression? It seems that from the point of view of the semantics, “dramatically” means something bad, while “improve” on the opposite means something good.
So is it a common & neutral way (or rather a bit sarcastic) to say:
“The headset with an extending microphone can dramatically improve your Skype call quality..”?
