Thank you so much for you lessons Ronnie, you keep on bringing up the good stuff, I wanted to ask you about a couple of things:
what does “My head is all over the wall” mean, when A for instance is talking to B and B says it , does it mean that B is not following? does it have a specific reason?,
also, “To see right through someone” I think it’s a bad thing as if he doesn’t exist I think. would you explain it to me,also , what does it mean to ” dismiss someone out of hand “ and last thing is most important
I rather (go – to go – going)
I’d rather (go – to go – going)
I prefer (go – to go – going)
I’d prefer (go – to go – going)
I like (go – to go – going)
I’d like (go – to go – going)
I suggest (go – to go – going)
I’d suggest (go – to go – going)
etc…
such verbs ^^,
Sorry to bother you again but didn’t get it last time , when to choose each one and why

Dear Ronnie,
My name is Alex too and I’m a regular visitor of Engvid. so I have one question if you could help out with this; “Does she likes me or Does she like me?” actually I’ve have problem with this and I’m searching the reason why the one of this sentence is correct, why we can’t put es or s after he, she, it if we use does before?
another question I have is: We use “Be” for future like; “The programme going to be held” why we are using past participial of Verb why we didn’t used the base verb; hold after be? actually I wondering for reason if you could provide
Thanks your regard
Alex Roger
Alex Roger
“Does she like me” is correct…….we don’t say “likes” because we have added the “S” to the do verb.
I/they/we do + base verb…..He/She/It does + base verb.
If you don’t use do….we have to put an “s” on the verb in the present tense. He/she/it likes pizza. I/they/we like pizza.
Ronnie
in speaking of singular “s” is the following question form correct or not:
means what?
and if it’s so why we don’t use “does” here as a question form?
feeling87
“means what”? is not a sentence.
“What does that mean?” = correct. We use does because that is singular!
Ronnie
very useful reply

hello ronnie. you are lessons are nice. do we really need to use verbs in our conversation. e.g- 1. where my bag
2. where is my bag
i kknw the 2nd one is correct. but can’t we use the 1st in our conversation. is it wrong? please help with this. i have heard many people use the 1st when they speak english.
reema
Perhaps the people are saying “where’s my bag”!! It is said so fast, you may not have been able to hear the “s” sound, because it sounds like “wherez”.
Ronnie

Saying “aa,,, ummm…” and other sounds is a good use of time to think right? But I think it is better if we are going to use it not frequently, i mean making use of those sounded words will make someone look dumb, am i right? So sometimes it’s better to shut up and think first for a moment. Well that’s my own perception on how we could have a better use of that aa….um… “Use it very seldom i guess…”

Lovely Ronnie thank you so much.
Btw, Anooo or Etoooo in Japanese are called Aizuchi it is a frequent interjections during a conversation that indicate the listener is paying attention and/or understanding the speaker= Hesitation Devices as you said. The thing is, as a Japanese speaker I learnt to use them by nature when I speak Japanese and it become a second nature to me to use Hesitation Devices in English as well. However, when I speak with Americans over phone at work, they “pause” if I used any kind of feedback words like “I see” , “oh” , “Really”. Usually the American speaker pause (stop talking for a second) then continue his converstation. So for me I feel that I have interrupted him somehow. I working on stopping my Aizuchi in English conversations at work, but would love to hear your comment about that case. Thanks again dear Ronnie, you are amezing ‹(•_•)›

I didn’t know about aizuchi! Thank you for teaching me something new today :)

Really useful Ronnie thank u for this good job
I’d suggest (go – to go – going)
etc…
such verbs ^^,
Sorry to bother you again but didn’t get it last time , when to choose each one and why

oh, that was great lesson and helpful as well, Ronnie , you are cool teacher and it’s nice and easy to learn english from you
Dear Ronnie,
My name is Alex too and I’m a regular visitor of Engvid. so I have one question if you could help out with this; “Does she likes me or Does she like me?” actually I’ve have problem with this and I’m searching the reason why the one of this sentence is correct, why we can’t put es or s after he, she, it if we use does before?
another question I have is: We use “Be” for future like; “The programme going to be held” why we are using past participial of Verb why we didn’t used the base verb; hold after be? actually I wondering for reason if you could provide
Thanks your regard
Alex Roger
“Does she like me” is correct…….we don’t say “likes” because we have added the “S” to the do verb.
I/they/we do + base verb…..He/She/It does + base verb.
If you don’t use do….we have to put an “s” on the verb in the present tense. He/she/it likes pizza. I/they/we like pizza.
in speaking of singular “s” is the following question form correct or not:
means what?
and if it’s so why we don’t use “does” here as a question form?
“means what”? is not a sentence.
“What does that mean?” = correct. We use does because that is singular!
very useful reply
great………….
I like this girl’s teaching style:D

hello ronnie. you are lessons are nice. do we really need to use verbs in our conversation. e.g- 1. where my bag
2. where is my bag
i kknw the 2nd one is correct. but can’t we use the 1st in our conversation. is it wrong? please help with this. i have heard many people use the 1st when they speak english.
Perhaps the people are saying “where’s my bag”!! It is said so fast, you may not have been able to hear the “s” sound, because it sounds like “wherez”.
that’s really very nice Ronnie. I get nervous when someone talks me in English and I just start translating Hindi to English. could u plz tell me how to rid of it.
I’m not to sure how to stop your brain from doing this – I suggest to live in an English speaking country and then you will have to speak English!

ronnie i love the way you teach us
It’s great have a funny teacher.. It’s incredible how you make me understand everything you say! Thanks a lot!
Thank Ronnie
Saying “aa,,, ummm…” and other sounds is a good use of time to think right? But I think it is better if we are going to use it not frequently, i mean making use of those sounded words will make someone look dumb, am i right? So sometimes it’s better to shut up and think first for a moment. Well that’s my own perception on how we could have a better use of that aa….um… “Use it very seldom i guess…”
thanks a lot
nice teaching :)
