    This means the same as:
    What’s happening?
    What’s new?
    What’s going on?

    It can also mean:
    What’s wrong?

    The answers depend on the situation, and range from saying “Nothing special” to actually describing what’s going on.

    usually we just say March 4th. Sometimes we use March the 4th, if we are trying to emphasize the date. The first way is always correct, so best to use that. All the best to you.

    It is easy to understand.
    When you sell goods in a small shop (in retail trade) or in a warehouse (in wholesale trade) in comission, you will get a certain percentage after “the price of a sold good” or your full sale/selling.
    you can see here an example:
    A customer is looking for a shirt with green colour in your shop.
    You have more green shirts in his size and he likes all of them.
    There are 3 products that suit to your customer and now he must decide which one he should buy.
    However, He wants to buy the cheapest.
    It is wrong for you because you will get less “commission” after it. So, you try to “talk him out of buying it” and “talk him into buying the most expensive one”.
    the price of first product is “400$”,
    the price of second product is “500$”,
    the price of third product is 600$.
    -Question?
    Which (one) will you force him to buy it? or to persuade him to buy it? The third one!
    -Why?
    There are 2 chances in getting “commission” :
    1. If you only get percentage after your sale:
    for example: 6%
    You get 6 per cent commission after your selling.
    you will get 600$*0.06=36$ after your selling only this one product!
    It is higher than the others.
    2. If you get not only percentage but a basic salary too, then you will get even a bonus above your salary.
    we say:
    you got bonus above your salary.
    Your salary is 2000$ per month.
    You sold products in 1000$ value.
    Your bonus will be : 1000$*0.06 = 60$.
    The full money you will get after your sale: 2060$.
    Of course:
    You will offer the third one to your customer.

    So, you are motivated to sell the customers more and more products because you will get more and more money.
    I hope I wrote good and it is understandable.

    They’re very similar! “Hit it off” is less about agreeing with each other and more about just getting along.

    “To shoot the breeze” has nothing to do with guns, or shooting or anything like that. It means to talk casually and unhurriedly about light topics, like when you are sitting out on a porch on a Saturday in summer, with a cool glass of lemonade and a friend drops by…

I did the quiz perfectly. why do we have to use: talk me into/out instead of: talk to me into/out?

    To talk someone into something means to convince them to do something.

    To talk someone out of something means to convince them not to do something.

    This is the way the idiom is phrased. When we say I talked to him about something, it is the regular use of the word talk, not the idiomatic use. My best to you.

It is not coming to here (in this subject) but I confused about it.
So I want to ask you.
I read it more this: “what happened”. I don’t understand wha not “what’s happened”. it is not a ‘passive sentence’?
So is it not correct if I say like this:
“What was happened after Cindy had called her old friend?”
(or it work as an idiom too?)

    Sorry, there are a few too many questions here to answer all of them. The last sentence should be:

    What happened after Cindy called her old friend?

    Also, “what happened?” and “what’s happened” is almost the same, so don’t worry too much about it, except the first is used to talk about anything that happened in the past and the second is used to refer to something that happened relatively recently.
