IELTS, CAE, or FCE? Which English exam should you take?

I have never taken any tests you explained. I’m interested in them though. I have taken TOEIC and EIKEN a looong time ago. I liked TOEIC very much. Thank you for your explaining the difference between IELTS, CAE, and FCE, Jade :) All of them are the new tests for me.

in your video you mentioned the difference between the tow tests and you don’t say anything about the listening paper in the cae test is it included in the use of language or what?

The Listening paper is separate to the Use of English paper in CAE.

For engineering, the CAE that helps you is the Software Simulations, that doesn’t have any relation of the CAE that is trated here.

In my opinion you don’t take these tests because they are useful, you take them because you have a reason that you require them – such as entrance to university.

But could you maybe tell me if these days IELTS is more accepted than TOEFL at universities in English speaking countries (as well in Singapore)?

As a rule of thumb, if the country slants towards American English preference then they will live TOEFL. The UK and Australia prefer IELTS.

I’d take CAE but my platou keeps my graph straight for a long time. I’m disappointed on this stage I gave up learning and came back again. It seems that’s why I here.

Another difference between CAE and IELTS is the time of be valid. I guest the IELTS expires at two years and if you need English certificate again after two years you need to prove you English level again and in the CAE case, this certificate is forever. You do not need to do an English test again if you have CAE certificate already for to prove your language level in the future because it works forever,whole life.
