Hi Rebecca, thank you so much for this optimistic lesson. We belong to the same culture so we share most of this proverbs or expressions, but de number 5 is new for me, it can be interpreted in several ways I think. For the number 6 we have a quite similar one in Spanish, you surely know: At bad times, good face, very appropriate for this time. Best regards.

Hi,Rebecca. I’m EduM Silva from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Congrats for your kindness and teaching technique and thanks for all amazing classes you give us.
I like your explaining which is so easy to understand, thanks and I am sure I can learn more from you.
You’re really good teaching English. And an optimistic expression when someone says a bad thing to you “It’s better to have heard this than to be deaf”
Although I knew a lot of English grammar rules, I could never understand or speak. Looking at the half full glass, I decided to cultivate my English. I did not live in an English speaking country, and there was no any native speaker around me either. If life gives you lemons, you can sometimes make only lemonade. So, I focused on internet and mp3 power. Whenever I made any stupid mistake, I chose to keep my chin up instead of quitting. After a long period of practice, I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Today I exactly know that if there a will somewhere, there is also a way there. Even if I regret now because I did not use that method before, the phrase “better late than never” feels me much better.
Thanks Rebecca!
