I thought it will be childish lesson, but it was fun to watch.

One of the things I get confused sometimes are all those contractions used in English. Like:
“He’s finished the meal.” –> He has…
“He’s writing a letter.” –> He is…
“It’s a nice weather:” –> It is…
“Its collar is red.” –> Its means belonging to “it”.
“Let’s go.” –> From this video: “Let us go.” I would never guess this!

It would be nice to have some video of all kind of contractions they are used in English.

Also, I remember avoiding “gonna” and similar words, because my English teacher said, it was slang and it should be avoided in formal English.

Okey, dokey sounds funny and somehow childish to use, so probably better to avoid in formal English. Probably fine in informal causal speech. Similar from animations: “See You Later, Alligator.” It’s fun to use with friends, but you can’t say this to your teacher or boss in working environment.

Dear Mrs. Emma, what a nice idea to talk about Mario’s English! I think he is the most famous pumber of the world. Congratulations! We learnt from you: Everday English often uses contractions. Nowadays that’s no slang anymore saying “gonna” for example. Hope my English is correct?
